Since the follower is depressed the cartridges are not sliding across the feed lips, meaning less wear on the lips. It simply snaps onto your magazine and loads rounds in a flash! This is one of those items that works BETTER than advertised. You can unload magazines even faster by facing the mag downward and working the lever back and forth, handy since most ranges will not let you leave with a partially loaded mag.
